What in your faith and religions beliefs are you absolutely dogmatic about?
Prove it in scripture.

I found this blog randomly and stumbled across this interesting post on Christian dogma. I was surprised to find no one has been willing to give a statement of dogmatic belief as of yet (perhaps it's just that no one has found the post here; I doubt that they fail to comment out of a lack of belief). Anyway, here is the stuff I will stake my life on:
"I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, where he sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from whence he shall come to judge the quick and dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."
Completely from memory, so please pardon any minor errors. These are the things that I am dogmatic about. I believe they have the full support of Scripture (but to list all their support would fill a small book). Please suffice it to say that this creed is what every Christian ought to be dogmatic about. This is what every Christian ought to stake his or her life upon.
yep, Chad is right. Here it means "universal"...This term refers to the collection of all members of the Body of Christ worldwide who ascribe to the basic message of Christ and the essential doctrines of this creed.
We are part of a Holy Spirit empowered movement, a community of disciples who make disciples that make disciples, who purpose to proclaim God's glory in the Heavenly places.

Phil, What does it mean when it says "I believe in the holy catholic church"? For real, not a sarcasic question.
catholic in that instance just means universal, not the Roman Catholic Church.
